EDWARDS COMMUNITY IMPACT

Good corporate citizenship is an integral part of our core business. At Edwards Automotive Inc., we believe in giving back to the Iron Mountain and Kingsford community where we live, work and play. We strive to make a positive impact on the lives of others by actively making a difference through our daily work and charitable efforts. This summer we are switching gears from making it about us to making it about you. We will be using our advertising dollars to give back to our community. Follow us on social media or search the hashtag #SwitchingGearsForGood for the latest on what projects we will be sponsoring.

Wellness Kits

Children Get Well Kits

Edwards Automotive Inc. has donated 48 “Get Well Kits” displaying a super hero or princess theme to be shared with pediatric patients at Dickinson County Healthcare System. Each box features items like the book “Peanuts: Be Brave,” a super hero cape, coloring book, crayons, toothbrush, teddy bear, princess crown, and fuzzy socks to name a few. When children are admitted to the hospital, they may be bored or afraid. Facing surgery and illness is difficult for children of any age. As a family-run business we hope these kits can take a child's mind away from any pain or anxiety and brighten the family’s day.

Abram's Wish

After surviving pediatric cancer of the kidney in January 2011 Abram Gingrass planned to give back to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. His family set out to participate in the Fourth of July parade in the name of their son's cause and raised $540 for a grand total of $5,588 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In partnership with other area businesses Edwards Automotive Inc. supported Abram by donating the use of their vehicles, t-shirts, parade supplies and employees for the parade.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Turkeys

Using social media as our vessel, we engaged with over 135 individuals resulting in a donation of 27 turkeys to the Salvation Army of Dickinson County. The 27 gift cards went into Thanksgiving baskets for those in need.
